About Hollowvane

Hollowvane covers two sides of the same problem: content engineered to provoke a reaction regardless of whether it's true (rage bait), and the practical skills for telling that apart from something genuinely worth your attention (media literacy).

The name is a weathervane that spins with whatever wind is blowing — a device that indicates direction without having any substance of its own. That's what a lot of what circulates online amounts to: reactive, hollow, chasing whichever way the outrage is currently pointing.
